Intertidal Communion
september 12 – october 3, 2026

Created during a period of simultaneous enmeshment in life and death, Intertidal Communion proffers a visual manifestation of seminal points of creative and spiritual inquiry that, over time, have come into sharp focus and assumed a vital role in Lamb’s artistic practices. Her work reflects a contemplative multidimensional examination of the natural world – geological processes, celestial phenomena, native ecosystems – and a profoundly personal and organic dialogical intercourse with the cosmos through use of its own language, expressed through movement, form, and symbiosis. Lamb renders a tactile response through pigment and clay, pattern and texture, multiplicity and recursion. The resulting oeuvre is a proprietary lexicon that meditates upon transcendental and emotional forces, the eternal fecundity of nature, and the complexities and transmutability of connection. Shown in tandem for the first time, Lamb’s ceramic and watercolor work evinces shared ideational origins through contrasting means of communication and execution. One is the fruit of perseverance and exacting technique, the other an orbital dance of fluid imbrication, both an intimate exploration of the invisible threads by which we are constituted.
