“Creating textiles brings me joy and purpose. I studied fashion design, and worked in the apparel industry before pursuing sewing as an art form many years ago. Our modern wealth of discarded remnants inspires me to work with what we have.I honor the living planet with my art form, and utilize practices that sustain life. I choose to create with salvaged fabrics, textile scraps, and other objects I find. As a compliment to my conceptual practice, I entwine special, sentimental, and meaningful objects into my art, to place their history and energies closer to the viewer. My artwork is a practice I often undertake alone, but I always look forward to sharing my experiences with you, to provoke a dialogue, and build a stronger community of artists.”
