“Creating textiles brings me joy and purpose. I studied fashion design, and worked in theapparel industry before pursuing sewing as an artform many years ago. Our modern wealth ofdiscarded remnants inspires me to work with what we have.I honor the living planet with my artform, and utilize practices that sustain life. I choose to createwith salvaged fabrics, textile scraps, and other objects I find. As a compliment to my conceptualpractice, I entwine special, sentimental, and meaningful objects into my art, to place their historyand energies closer to the viewer. My artwork is a practice I often undertake alone, but I alwayslook forward to sharing my experiences with you, to provoke a dialogue, and build a strongercommunity of artists.”
